Effective date: 17 June 2026 · App: RESTOCK (Android) · Developer: Rayen
This policy explains what data RESTOCK collects, why, and your choices. By using RESTOCK you agree to this policy.
What we collect
If you continue as a guest, RESTOCK creates an anonymous account and collects no personal information — your items are stored under a random ID.
If you sign in (Google or email), we collect:
- Account info — your name and email address (via Firebase Authentication), to create and secure your account and sync your data across devices.
In all cases, to provide the app's features we store:
- Your inventory — the items you add (name, category, optional price, restock frequency, purchase dates, chosen icon), stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore).
- A push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send "running low" reminders. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your location.
- The camera is used only to scan barcodes on your device. Camera images are not stored or transmitted — only the decoded barcode number is used to look up the product.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. RESTOCK contains no ads.
Third-party services
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging). Google Privacy Policy
- Open Food Facts — the scanned barcode number is sent to retrieve product name/image; no personal data is sent. Open Food Facts Privacy
- Purchases for RESTOCK Pro are processed by Google Play; we do not receive your payment details.
How your data is used
Only to operate the app: authentication, syncing your inventory, predicting runout dates, and sending low-stock reminders.
